Dr. Eamor M. Woo is currently Emeritus Chair Professorin Chemical Engineering Dept. of National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan. He has received Ph.D.degree fromUniversity of Texas at Austin (Austin, Texas, USA). He has published over 285 refereed and highly cited original papers, including severalmajor review articles (Prog. Polym. Sci., Euro. Polym. J., etc.), and three book chapters and edited books (Handbook of Adhesives, Encyclopedia of Polymer Science and Technology, Handbooks of Epoxy Blends (Springer-Nature), etc., and made over 260 conference presentations internationally, including many Keynotes and Plenary speeches in major conferences. He has received numerous distinguished academic honors/awards including Research Excellence, Outstanding Researcher Award, etc., from Taiwan’s Ministry of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, and many distinguished awards from several professional Societies ofTaiwan. He is elected Fellow in Taiwan’s Polymer Society and also Fellow in Chem. Eng. Society. In professional services, he is Senior Editor for Journal of Polymer Research(Springer-Nature), 2015-Present. He also served as Guest Editors for a special issues in “Crystals”, and Guest Editor for “Polymers”, and editorials board members in several journals. He is listed in world’s top 2% influential scholars (accumulated 1960-2021)and also in 2022-23 years.

Prof. Dr. Atanase Leonard-Ionut studied macromolecular chemistry at the "Gh. Asachi" Technical University of Iasi, Romania. During his university studies, he received a three-month Socrates/Erasmus scholarship at the University of Marseille, France. This first contact with French culture encouraged him to return in 2005 to pursue a Master's degree at the National Chemistry School in Mulhouse, France under the guidance of Prof. Gerard Riess. Also under the guidance of Prof. Riess he continued his post-graduate studies and in 2010 received PhD in Materials Chemistry from the University of Haute Alsace, Mulhouse. Until 2014, he continued his research, at the same university in France, as a university researcher, in the field of polymers and emulsions biocompatible with applications in the biomedical field. From 2014 to 2015 he worked in the field of nanoemulsions with cosmetic applications at the University of Pau, France in collaboration with Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy (LVMH), the Dior branch. This collaboration was materialized by a patent related to the preparation of a perfume only on aqueous basis. At the beginning of 2016, he returned in Romania, at the "Apollonia" University of Iasi and the experience accumulated in the almost 10 years spent in France allowed him to obtain the title of full professor in 2017. He was the Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine at the «Apollonia» University in Iasi from 2018 until 2023, the coordinator of the Biomaterials Laboratory but also of the Office of International Relations. At the present he is member of the Academy of Romanian Scientists and National expert within the Corps of Experts Registered in the National Register of Experts for the certification of Research&Development activity (REXCD). Even though the administrative tasks are time consuming, Prof. Atanase did not neglect his "first love", namely the research in the field of polymers with biomedical applications. He was the director of 6 national and international research projects and member of 5 other research projects carried out at the "Apollonia" University of Iasi. Regarding the scientific activity, Prof. Atanase is noted through numerous participation in international conferences, a number of 10 books or chapters of books published in international publishers but also 77 articles published in ISI journals with more than 1900 citations. H-index is 25 on Google Scholar and 24 on Scopus. By virtue of his collaboration with colleagues in France, in 2018, he was a visiting professor at the University of Haute Alsace in Mulhouse and in October 2018 he obtained the “accreditation to supervise research” (HDR) at the same university in France. Starting with 2021, he is affiliated as PhD coordinator in the field of “chemical engineering” at the Technical University of Iasi, Romania and has already 4 ongoing PhD theses. At the present, his research axes focused on the investigation of different types of drug delivery systems based on polymeric micelles from amphiphilic graft and block copolymers, particles obtained by emulsion polymerization, nanocapsules from polysaccharides, liposomes, and hybrid hydrogels. Moreover, a new domain of research deals with the preparation of electrospun fibers by electrospinning using both synthetic and natural polymers.

Dr. Luciano Feo (July 13, 1965) is Full Professor of Mechanics of Solids and Structures at the Department of Civil Engineering (DICIV) of the University of Salerno (Italy) and Professor Honoris Causa at the “Ovidius” University of Costanza. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees, cum laude, in Civil Engineering from the University of Salerno (1990), the Ph.D. in Structural Engineering from the University of Naples “Federico II” (1997) and the Diploma in Conception optimisee intelligence des materiaux et des structures, from the École Polytechnique de Paris (1999). He has participated as a PI or co-PI in many research projects funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MIUR), the Laboratories University Network of Seismic Engineering (ReLUIS) and the Italian National Research Council (CNR), which is the largest public research institution in Italy, the only one under the Research Ministry performing multidisciplinary activities. He is author or co-author of 380+ articles in impact factor-rated scientific journals. Most of his research work concerns composites and nano-composites materials; experimental investigation of composites materials (FRP); computational mechanics; multiscale numerical modelling and simulation of materials and structures; computational design and engineering of innovative sustainable materials and infrastuctures; green materials and structures; structural rehabilitation of masonry and concrete structures with FRP; full FRP composite structures; connections in composites structures; durability of high performance fiber reinforced concrete (HPFRC). He is the Director of the STructural Engineering Testing Hall (STRENGTH) of the Structural Laboratory of the University of Salerno. In recent years, he has been Vice-Rector of the University of Salerno for Sustainable Infrastructure, member of the Board of Directors of the University of Salerno, Vice-Director of the Department of Civil Engineering of the University of Salerno and Director of the Bioengineering and Biomechanics Laboratory (BIOMECH). Prof. Feo has been Editor of Composites Part B: Engineering, Elsevier; Editor-In-Chief of the “Section Board for Advanced Composites” of Materials journal, MDPI; Senior Associate Editor of PSU Research Review: An international Journal, Emerald; Associate Editor of Mechanics of Materials, section of Frontiers in Materials; Associate Editor of International Journal of Modern Manufacturing Technologies. Prof. Pekcan received his MS Degree in Physics at The University of Chicago in June 1971,then in May 1974, his PhD Thesis was accepted in Solid state Physics in University of Wyoming. He started his carrier at Hacettepe University, Ankara, TURKEY, as Assistant Professor in 1974. Habilitation Thesis was accepted in Solid State Physics in 1979. He became Associate Professor at Hacettepe University in 1979. He visited ICTP Trieste, ITALY, as Visiting Scientist in between June-August 1980. Between1980-1981 he was a Visiting Scientist in Technical University of Gdansk, in Poland. He worked as Visiting Professor, in University of Toronto, Department of Chemistry, CANADA between 1981-1988. He was appointed as full Professor in Istanbul Technical University in Department of Physics, TURKEY and worked there between years of 1988-2005. He was Elected Member of Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA), in January 1995. He Became a Dean of School of Art and Sciences, in 1997 at Istanbul Technical University. He Received Science Award in 1998, from Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK). Prof. Pekcan was elected as Member of the Council of TÜBA in 2001 and the Scientific Board of TÜBİTAK in 2003 respectively. He was Head of Department of Physics and then became Dean of School of Art and Sciences in Işık University, in between 2005-2008. He worked as Dean in School of Art and Sciences, 2008—2012, in Kadir Has University. Now He is Professor at Kadir Has University, in Department of Bioinformatics and Genetics. Since 2012 he is a member of Science Academy.
